Like I say, the cunts upstairs have no ambition than to slowly asset strip the club before 2023. You can forget us getting a new striker.

The thing that really makes my piss boil is that this has happened for the fifthly odd years that I have been a supporter and shows how little we've changed in my time.

There's only so much time that you can milk a cow without feeding it.

wd40- Give it a rest with your whining on every thread. Maybe this place is not for you if you only want posts from happy clappy cheerleaders.

I knew deep down when I saw that bollocks with him dancing around with a cardboard cut out of himself that it might not end too well

Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
Most players taking a shot like that have some idea where they're aiming for, but he seems to just swing his leg and hope for the best. A bit like I would have done when I played Sunday morning football.
I saw an interview with him when he was scoring, just before he lost his form - I thought he crossed the line from sounding confident to sounding cocky. Maybe he thought all he had to do was turn up and he'd score.
He was outstanding for a while though, and I don't want to forget that. As everyone knows (well, every supporter) he needs replacing now, put on the bench, maybe he can regain some form. Too late for this season.

Antonio in an act of supreme selfishness declares for Jamaica . A private jet at 100k is provided to bring him back .
What an indulgence.
And to add insult to injury is given a ludicrously long extended contract with his injury record .
Nice fella though .

Is that the Daka who is scoring fuck all at Leicester? Assume you know that Moyes wanted him and Sullivan said no.
The owners are cunts but comments like this are a pile of old wank.

That's the problem there, Sullivan

His perception and his grubby mits and associations with agents that fucks us over time and time again.

Bloke is a fucking idiot

Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
In the Summer we were offered Patson Daka, told £20m and he’s yours.

Sullivan dismissed the offer saying it was far too much for a player with no prem experience.

When we have owners with such short sightedness we’ll never ever move on.

Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
When natural strikers (especially good ones) are going through a drought they trust their method & skills and keep doing what they do.
Knowing that the goals will come again.
Antonio is not a natural striker so he loses confidence, panics, chases the ball into areas he should leave for others and tries shots from the car park.

Dont imagine its going to happen but if we are to progress we need a better striker and Antonio should be an impact player, an alternative to use against certain teams. He is good for about 20 starts a season but cant sustain it beyond that.

Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
If he is being patched up to play that’s all the more reason to have got another striker in.

I have a big feeling he has been playing with injections for a while now and could see a surgery coming at the end of the season

GreenStreetPlayer 6:40 Sun Feb 20
Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
I am sure he had a period 1-2 years back where he sort of went missing, but that was about being injured too frequently.

That’s why I’m wondering is he actually playing with a long term injury?

He used to stretch with every sinew and got balls he never should have. It’s like he is playing within himself to protect himself, we haven’t seen much burst of speed lately.

Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
FFS, we've got a thread on anxiety and depression pinned to the top of this board and none of you is even considering the possibility that the problem might be in his head. Being "knackered" isn't necessarily just a physical issue. A number of things could be playing on his mind and could easily be affecting his performance:

1. The burden of being the only striker in the first team squad.
2. The pressure of not having scored for some time.
3. The feeling of letting the side down.
4. The flack he's getting for 2 & 3 above.

Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
Think he’d be a decent impact player, coming on in the last fifteen odd minutes for the striker that we don’t have….

Mex Martillo 6:06 Sun Feb 20
Re: Antonio’s customary row Z shot
Antonio has never been a player that performs at his best for a long period. The surprise is that he hasn't got injured and had his normal mid-season injury break. Really needs to be dropped, he just dose not have it in him to start every game. I think a long period of being subbed on in the 60th minute if needed would do him good and he would be a good sub coming on when everyone is tired.
